This is the Gatling Gorge, a beautiful spot located at the narrowest part of Helmcken Canyon where the entire Clearwater River flows through a small gap.
Starting point of this trail is at Helmcken Falls Viewpoint, follow the fencing to the end where there is a sign stating ‘Gatling Gorge’. The trail includes stunning views of the confluence of the Murtle and Clearwater Rivers.
