Women On The Water: SUP Camp Out

The teasers are over - welcome to the newest overnight experience from Kelsey's Caravan!

Inspired by the highly successful overnight rafting experience, I’ve decided to take that concept and bring it to paddle boarding!

This Event is an all inclusive overnight paddle boarding Adventure - just for women. Over two days and one night, we will explore a mountain lake while learning the basics of paddle boarding, and camping!

This is an excellent beginner friendly event, perfect for the woman who is brand new to paddle boarding and/or overnight trips.

Explore Cochrane from the water this Summer with a Cochrane River Trip🌊🤟❤️

Spend an hour beating the heat and learning some river paddle boarding basics. We'll paddle from Riverfront Park to Jack Tennant Bridge, enjoying a mini adventure right in the heart of our little town.

A guide, safety equipment, transportation, and paddling gear is provided.

I'm Kelsey Baldwin, Owner and Guide with Kelsey's Caravan - Water Adventures. I'm heading into my 7th season of doing what I love, which is providing opportunities for the beginner outdoors person to get on the water in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.

You don't have to be a 5'10 lean mean training machine of an athlete to learn outdoor sports. You don't need to have the most expensive, most current, highly innovative equipment on the market. And you certainly don't need to compare your skill sets to those you see in social media, YouTube, or otherwise.

I'm trying to combat all these concepts by meeting you where you're at and getting you started on your own adventures; in your own way, with what works for you.

What can you expect from a Women On The Water: Camp Out experience?
🌊🏕🔥☕️
You will paddle a friendly but fun class 2 section of the Bow River, crashing through some waves and floating through beautiful scenery.

We'll chat about topics including Leave No Trace, camping/gear basics and demos, menstruation and hygiene outdoors, bear awareness, river safety, and more.

You will share stories over a bond-fire (see what I did there), and work together with like minded rad ladies to set up camp, enjoy riverside meals, and paddle downstream.

This 2 day and 1 night Event is for women ages 16+, from all walks of life. It's a great way to share some quality time with your best girlfriends, or to branch out and make new ones!
Zero experience required.

Dreamin of warmer days already, and it's only November😅🌊

Quick plug here to chat about next seasons Paddle Canada paddle board courses: I can't take you down class 3, but I can certainly get you started on your own journey there.

The flatwater courses are all about learning technique, balance, efficiency, and safety. We build a strong foundation of paddling knowledge in a flatwater environment so that if and when you're ready to move to the river, it's seamless.

The river course takes everything you've learned on the lake and applies it to the current. We learn river reading skills, board and edge control, hazard and risk assessment, basic hydrology, and how/why we use certain strokes for certain maneuvers. All while paddling through waves and having fun🤟

Women On The Water: Camp Outs, 2025 are open to book❤️

These fully guided, all inclusive overnight experiences are for women from all walks of life. They bring folks together for two days and one night of camping on the Bow River - rafting to Wildcat Island where we share meals, share a fire, share stories, and sleep next to the sounds of the river.

2025 DATES:
June 17 to 18 (4 spots left)
July 4 to 15 (3 spots left)
August 12 to 13 (4 spots left)

Cost: $325/person
Ages: 16+
Minimum 2 persons, maximum 4

We'll chat about bear awareness, Leave No Trace, feminine hygiene outdoors, and so much more as we spend time on this beautiful river I call home.

If only teenage Kelsey could see us now.

It's wild to think back on how I grew up basically roaming around the rural Manitoba landscapes, to moving to Alberta for these cool and humbling things called the Rocky Mountains, to then creating an entire business platform of helping others do their own roaming around.
