The Boathouse was built around 1910 and sits at water's edge on inner Goose Spit, Comox BC Canada and was originally used for boat building. We have restored the cottage with family antiques and our guests tell us they love the cozy, romantic and relaxing atmosphere. We've been in business here in Comox since 1997 and have loved every minute of it.
The Boathouse is about 70 feet from our main house, and is situated right at tideline. You have your own private south facing deck with table, chairs, umbrella. Beach towels can be provided. You walk out the gate onto the beach and are welcome to swim, beach comb or use our kayaks to explore the bay, the point at Goose Spit and surrounding areas. Macdonald Wood Park is at the end of our road, Mac Laing Park just beyond and Goose Spit Park is a short walk along the beach or a 1 minute drive from our home.
The cottage includes a Queen size bed with deluxe linens, an ensuite bathroom with shower and linens. There is a fully stocked kitchenette with bar fridge, toaster oven, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, kettle, blender. Cupboards are well stocked with dishes, cutlery, etc. Lovely dining table seats 4.
Downtown Comox is a 2 minute drive. We have excellent pubs, sushi restaurants, a mall with liquor store, groceries, pharmacy, postal outlet, etc. The Black Fin Pub is famous for their location on the water and fabulous food. The Comox Valley is home to several amazing wineries and breweries as well as excellent distilleries. Tours or visits can be arranged. In the summer the Comox Valley is famous for our farm markets, golf, whale and bear watching and fishing charters. In the spring and fall you can ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon. In the winter excellent skiing, boarding and snow shoeing happens on Mount Washington. From the Boathouse to the mountain is about a 25 minute drive.
Please pm me if you have any questions, need to confirm rates, availability dates, etc. We look forward to making your stay in the Boathouse very special.
