🌟 What an unforgettable day! 🌟
We’re thrilled to share that on September 18th, Bursey’s Bus Service, in partnership with Get Messy NL, donated a wheelchair-accessible bus to our local hero, Jake, at Elizabeth Park Elementary. 🎉
Jake has faced incredible challenges with such resilience, and we’re honored to provide him with the means to attend school, visit friends, and participate in community events. Seeing the joy on Jake's face and knowing we could make a difference was truly heartwarming!
A huge thank you to everyone who supported this initiative and helped make it possible. Together, we’re showing that our community truly cares! ❤️

Exciting News from Bursey’s Bus Services!

We are thrilled to share that Bursey’s Bus Services proudly participated in this morning’s media availability, showcasing one of our brand-new 2025 buses.

Premier Furey announced a major development: the complete elimination of the 1.6 km rule for bussing, allowing every student on the island to take the bus. This long-awaited improvement will benefit an additional 15,000 students who previously did not have this accommodation.

In support of this significant step forward, we’ve expanded our fleet by adding 62 new buses, bringing our total to 130. Additionally, we’ve increased our team by hiring 62 new drivers, growing our staff to 140. Bursey’s is fully prepared to accommodate the influx of students and ensure a smooth transition to this enhanced bussing system.

We are proud to contribute to this essential initiative and excited to better serve our community’s needs. Thank you for your ongoing support!

Bursey's Bus Service is hiring multiple school bus drivers for a number of locations from Conception Bay South to St. John's.

Experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Ideal candidates will currently posses a class 2 or 4 drivers licence. However, training will be provided for successful candidates should you not currently hold one of these licence classes.

Successful candidates must have clean Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check results. Having both documents readily available is considered an asset, but not required.

Standard First Aid is considered an asset but training will be provided for successful candidates who do not currently hold a valid Standard First Aid Certificate.

Typical hours of work are 7:30am-9:00am and 2:00pm-3:30pm Monday to Friday. These hours may vary.

There may be opportunity for evening/weekend work as well should the successful candidates be interested.

The successful candidate would have a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment. The candidate would have strengths in customer communication (telephone, email, facebook messenger), organizational skills, time management, adaptability in a busy office.
