My family began our around-the-world adventure on September 1st of this year. Our "itinerary" has been extremely loose and we have done the majority of our planning on the fly (0/10, do not recommend). I now feel comfortable enough to share our plans because we actually have an idea of where we're heading!

In September we visited two Hawaiian islands, Maui and Oahu, and then made our way to Australia for a month where we reconnected with friends and family ❤️

Mid-October we left Australia and headed to Bali for 9 nights, then Singapore for two nights. We flew to Dubai on October 28th and we're spending our last night tonight in the UAE in Abu Dhabi.

Tomorrow we fly to Rome. We have no real plans for Italy so far, except to make our way to Florence by November 28th to catch a flight to London.

At the beginning of December we will board a Transatlantic cruise for 12 nights and end up in Miami, Florida. None of my family have cruised before, so it will be interesting to see if we like it! Maybe it will be more interesting to see if all four of us survive 12 days in a tiny cabin with each other at sea 😂

We're not exactly sure where we'll end up after Miami! I imagine it will be somewhere in the Caribbean, likely Mexico, which is still one of my favourite places in the world. I'll try to post updates as we go!

Hello from Australia! 🇦🇺

As some of you may know, my husband and I sold our house in August and have embarked on a round-the-world adventure with our two kids. We anticipate being gone from Canada for approximately 9 months. Our first stop was Maui, then Oahu, now we're in Australia visiting friends and family. We are not sure where the wind will blow us next, but we're excited about the future and opportunities that may arise!

Hello friends and fellow travellers! I have not fallen off of the face of the earth, I am still here! With the dawn of Spring and the promise of Summer, life has become busier, but I am still working in the background. We just got back from this incredible resort! Set on one of the best beaches in Mexico, we enjoyed the Family Selection area where we were treated to an exclusive pool with floaties, sunscreen, and special kids activities. We also had use of the exclusive beach area and a butler who organized all of our dinner reservations! My kids had a blast at the Kids Club and playing in the waterpark. We loved taking the free shuttle boats around the resort, especially in the evening after dinner when everything was lit up. My family and I just got back from 12 days in Quintana Roo, Mexico. We started by renting a car at the Cancun Airport and spent two nights in the city. We visited Isla Mujeres on day one and had a blast driving a golf cart and sightseeing around the little island! On our second day we headed down to our hotel in Playa del Carmen for five nights. We visited the Coba Ruins (you are no longer able to climb the large pyramid as advertised), Cenote Choo-Ha, Tulum, Akumal (message me for tips on avoiding unnecessary fees), Puerto Morelos, 5th Avenue, Croco Cun Zoo, etc. For our last five nights we went north to stay at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres and upgraded to Family Selection (highly recommend). I have a few favourite moments of my own... hand feeding wallabies on Magnetic Island in Australia, hearing wild elephants while canoeing peacefully down a river in Thailand, being surrounded by hundreds of dolphins off the coast of Vancouver Island 💜
