Interesting Facts About Lake Erie.....

1. Being the most shallow of the Great Lakes the water warms up nicely starting in the spring 🌱 and can be nice for swimming early in the season.
2. Lake Erie is the fourth-largest Great Lake. It’s the 11th largest lake on the planet.
3. There is alleged to be a 30- to 40-foot-long “monster” in Lake Erie named Bessie. The earliest recorded sighting goes back as early as 1793. Not so sure about this 🤗
4. Water in Lake Erie replaces itself in only 2.6 years, which is notable considering the water in Lake Superior takes two centuries.
5. Not only is lake Erie the smallest Great Lake when it comes to volume, but it’s surrounded by the most industry and some pretty awesome cities and towns in the Niagara Region.

🌕🌗🌑 Welcome to Eclipse Weekend! Here goes nothing! No one truly knows what to expect, but we will do our best! We think we’re ready! Derby Road will be closed and licensed from Erie to Cambridge for live music and games Saturday and Sunday 12-10 and Monday 12-5. There will be a number of music venues and events throughout Crystal Beach including the Grove (across from Crystal Ball) and Bay Beach, along with Food Trucks. Parking will be limited so we recommend riding your bike or walking if possible! We hope that everyone has patience, and understanding as everyone tries to make this once in a lifetime event a wondrous one! 🌑🌓🌕
