Tony & Nina are both Vortex Canada Birding Ambassadors! Tony Beck is a freelance professional naturalist and photographer based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. His award-winning photography appears in many books, websites, magazines & calendars. He teaches Birdwatching and Nature Photography courses both independently and through a variety of institutions. In addition to being a passionate birdwatcher and business owner, Nina is also a Professional Photographer who graduated from "Bilder Nordic School of Photography" in Oslo, Norway. Her award-winning work appears in many catalogues, magazines, postcards, websites, calendars and more. She currently live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where she conduct photo workshops, online editing courses, presentations, photo tutoring and lectures including private photo shoots, weddings, bo***ir, engagement, pet and newborn photography. Our new home! We did it!!
We overcame many obstacles but we finally made it! We are now officially in a rural setting, surrounded by forest and wilderness. Just picked up the key to our new home, about an hour west of Ottawa - a refreshingly new chapter in our lives.

Wishing a truly heartfelt congratulations to our amazing clients who have secured this perfect new home in beautiful Madawaska. They worked with Ami to search for a place with tranquility outside the city. There were a few bumps along the way but with positive attitudes and great energy, their patience and persistence paid off. We are so thrilled for them! 🙌

Last Sunday, we went to Plaisance, QC, for our local birding excursion. We were joined by Raghavendra Rampur and his son, Shubhan. Raghavendra won the Honourable Mention prize with his Great Egret photo in the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre’s 2024 Calendar photo contest. The prize was a local half-day excursion for two people. We had a great day!

OMGOOSE!! Approx 70K Snow Geese at Lafleche this morning. Literally gives us goose-bumps!!

Seriously awesome with 300 Red-winged Blackbirds at Jack Pine this morning doing their spring “Konkaree”!! Nina’s first favourite Canadian bird and it’s still a mega fave!

Emergency rescue this morning when we "Snapped" into action! Our hero Tony Beck came out of it with only one minor injury; a scratch from the turtle's toenail on his finger. She went into the ditch away from the curb before we left.

An amazing day birding with friends, 17.000 Snow Geese at Frank Kenny Road and within this spectacle, we also found 2 Greater White-fronted Geese!

Last night, Nikon Canada Ambassador Tony Beck, and Always An Adventure conducted; "Wildlife Photography, Rising to the Challenge" presentation for The North Grenville Photography Club !

Apollo, the friendly raven at Parc Omega. Born and raised in captivity, he's now enjoying what he loves the most, flirting with humans 😊
