Windy day at sea Lobster Fishing
During our offseason for lobster boat tours, itโs commercial lobster fishing season LFA 34 which runs from the last Monday of November until May 31st!
It started out to be a beautiful day today and then the wind picked up quickly, winter wind is always worse then the summer breeze!

St Marys Bay Rip when tide changes
When the tide works out a certain way, our passengers get to witness the rip that occurs when the tide changes! ๐
This rip will only occur the first couple hours of the tide changing to the Ebb in St Maryโs Bay and sometimes porpoises like to play in the rip! ๐ฌ
This rip occurs in St Maryโs Bay by Petite Passage when the tide changes to Ebb. When the tide changes to Flood, this will occur on the Bay of Fundy Side of Petite Passage. We dodge the rip by steaming closer to shore!
This was also a light wind day and video does not do this justice!
Fun Fact:
Flood tide is when the tide is going up and Ebb tide is when the tide is going down! ๐

Deer Swiming in Ocean
Yesterday we saw a deer swimming from the mainland to the Island! We have never witnessed this personally so this is very cool!
Deers are actually excellent swimmers and can go to speeds of 15mph! ๐ฆ
The small deer did make it to land. (Camera is zoomed in all the way) The deer was not seen until it was just about to start crossing the bow so we had to stop and idle. as you can see the deer panicked a little. We would of never steamed up to a deer on purpose. Also, we did not want to steam away and make waves but we did turn the boat to idle away once he was safely across the bow.

Ocean Sunfish (Mola Mola) in Bay of Fundy
We were blessed with a beautiful calm day the other day on tour. A Ocean Sunfish (Mola Mola) came right up to the boat to show off!
Did you know that a Ocean Sunfish are curious creatures and their main diet are jelly fish ? People often mistake sunfish as a shark at first as the dorsal fin which is frequently out of the water look very much like a shark fin.
We also saw porpoises and seals along the way to haul our lobster traps. ๐ฆ
