I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, as I’ve been spending some time with family back in the UK. We explored the beaches for hours, had roast dinners and fish and chips, long walks, and great company. The northern lights even made an appearance, the first time I’ve seen them from Ilfracombe!

Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating wildfires in Jasper, Alberta. The loss of its pristine forests, wildlife, and vibrant community is a profound tragedy. We stand with the brave firefighters and residents facing this crisis with courage and determination.

I have so many great memories from visits to Jasper over the years. Absolutely heartbreaking to see the destruction from the wildfires today. Thinking of all those who call Jasper home ❤️ I plan to post links to fundraisers/ways to help soon.

Last hotel site visit for the trip! The Iberostar Tucan and Quetzal are right on the beach in Playacar. The rooms are surrounded by beautiful jungle, and abundant wildlife including howler monkeys!

The Coral Level is right next door to the Iberostar ‘pyramid’. It’s adults only, and has beautiful beach inspired decor! The rooftop suites feature a spiral staircase leading up to a private plunge pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
