Made a quick trip over to Vancouver for the Canucks games and popped into in Coquitlam for a few things. I’ve been shopping at this store for over thirty years back when it was Babcock fly and tackle. I grew up only a few blocks from the store and I’d ride my bike down there a couple times a week to keep my trout tackle topped up. Drop in and say hi to the guys in there for all your saltwater and freshwater needs. Their fly tying material collection is spectacular.

We are into the last week of Mill Bay charters. Fishing is still solid with full pots and hungry chinooks roaming around the depths of the gulf islands. Gold Nugget Wee G’s are the exact match of the bait that is around right now.

Someone got to reel in their first ever steelhead today. Today marked the first time he’s been fishing for steel and first time going down the river in a drift boat. We may have got him hooked!! Good job Brandon. Thanks to for being there and taking some beauty pics.

Off to a great start to our local Mill Bay season. We found a couple keeper sized chinooks and lost a couple more with limits of prawns and crabs. All in all an exceptional days with great guests. The 3.0 G Force spoons in trailhead and herring aide were the choice of the day. .ca

This one bedroom, one bathroom cabin, located on a quiet street has a King Size Bed in the Master and option for a Queen Murphy Bed in the living room. Relax by the Propane Fireplace indoors alongside a full size smart TV. A full kitchen is available including a propane range, full size fridge and complementary coffee bar. The spacious outdoor deck has a wrap around child/dog proof railing that includes covered areas for sitting around the fire table, full size BBQ, and wood burning fire pit just off the patio.
A bunkhouse has been added with a bunkbed, making it sleep 6 people with 4 separate beds.

Hands down I have the best guests in the world. Brings me a lot of pride to know that I am able to bring happiness to my guests adventures. Huge thanks to .duff.2021 and Ryan and his family for an amazing thoughtful gift. Look forward to doing it again in the future.

Only a few days left in the season and the fish are still firing on our tackle. Anchovies in Rhys Davis teasers in an array of colours are working from glow to UV. Sure can’t say enough about my Gibbs Guide series rods. No Guff they are an awesome rod.

The new guide series rods are the real deal!! They have awesome sensitivity plus a very solid backbone for big fish and great hook sets. The reel seat is also top notch and will keep your solidly in place with no movement. So happy with how these rods work and I’m sure my happy guests are as well.
