We hope everyone is enjoying a safe and joyful holiday season with their two-and four-legged family members!
This year has been an incredible journey at MPDT, filled with growth, change, and so much progress. We are incredibly proud to carry on the legacy that my parents, Deb & Marti McCann, spent 42 years building. Their dedication to this business has shaped us, and we’re honored to continue that work alongside our amazing team.
Reflecting on the year, I wrote a poem for our staff to capture what we’ve accomplished together. It was a whirlwind of challenges and triumphs, but also filled with moments of growth and teamwork that I’ll never forget. I wanted to share it with all of you as a reminder of how far we’ve come, and how lucky we are to have such a wonderful community.
As I take a moment to appreciate everything we’ve achieved this year, I’m feeling especially grateful this holiday season. Here’s to more growth, learning, and shared success in the year ahead!

’Twas the year of change and growth,
A time for us to spread our wings,
With new apprentices by our side,
We know next year will bring great things!
A new dock diving pool we did open,
Our first classes – a huge success!
And two new swim instructors joined,
To help our students feel their best.
K9 Parkour continues to soar,
A class that’s growing more and more!
Challenging mind and body, they leap and run,
Over, under, through—having so much fun!
Agility, jump jump for toys,
Continues to grow, oh how we enjoy!
11 dogs from our program so fine,
Made Team Canada this year, they really did shine!
To all our instructors, full of fun,
They create a space for everyone.
They’ve inspired students, near and far,
To train with joy, no matter who they are.
Our online team, reaching world wide,
In 78 countries, with your coaching we have pride.
We hear stories from families so dear,
How McCann Dogs has changed their year.
Studio 905 pushed limits too,
Creating magic that everyone knew.
This team always thinks out side the box,
To ensure our viewers think - “I love McCann Dogs!”
Our store and products now take flight, 8 new items, shining bright,
A challenge and reward, we’re grateful for,
And next year, we’ll offer even more!
Our building, too, shines bright and new,
Thanks to our maintenance team, it’s true!
With love and care, they’ve kept things right,
Turning our space into a beautiful sight.
Our amazing office team embraced a change in gears,
Working as one, we all give cheers.
The central hub where all things begin,
Taking care of students with a smile and a win!
From obedience to agility and more,
McCann Dogs now has so much in store.
With teams that work and puzzle pieces neat,
Together, we make every goal complete.
We need those who love dogs and people too,
Who love to think big and see things through.
Our goal, to make life better with dogs, we’re proud,
And this year, we’ve shouted it out loud.
I’m honored to work with this incredible crew,
The hustle and laughter, it’s all so true!
Through cheers and struggles, the moments we share,
We’re changing lives, with love and care.
So here’s to us, to McCann Dogs’ year,
To all we’ve achieved, and what’s yet to appear!
