Happy Adventure Tours Seasonal boat / kayak tours and rentals running from May to October. Here we will explore for Icebergs and Whales and the numerous eagle nests along our coast.

Zodiac Inshore Tour:

The inshore tour, explores the sheltered waters of Terra Nova Park, searching the water for Eagles, Whales, and Icebergs. We will also be visiting the coastal campsites such as Minchins Cove and South Broad Cove, stopping to take in the history of the area with a short hike and light snack. Zodiac Offshore Tour:

On this Adventure we quickly head offshore visiting a large Pu

ffin Colony of Little Denier that guards the entrance into Bonavista Bay. We then pass through Scotts Tickle to the resettlement of Smokey Hole for a light lunch. In addition, we explore the pirate history of Happy Adventure and venture into Sandy Cove's sea cave, The Dungeon! We will also visit Sandy Cove, with its long white sandy beach and bank! We offer pick up and drop off services to Minchins cove where one can have a nice 4km hike to the summit of Mount Stanford with a beautiful view of Bonavista Bay or hike back the Park's Outport trail! Taxi services to Minchins Cove one way or round trip

Rather Paddle? Try our kayak tours! Departing from Terra Nova National Park our kayak tours follow the coastline to Buckley's Cove, where we learn to paddle while enjoying scenic coastline and soaring eagles! Then venturing towards Mount Stanford our guide discusses and showcases Newfoundland's marine invertebrates and the natural beauty that Terra Nova has to offer. Dare to venture into the Dungeon? Departing from Happy Adventure, learn to paddle past picturesque Sandy Cove, and learn about our peninsula's history before we paddle into our very own sea cave! Think outside the gym?

Sure, that’s usually where you find phys ed in school... But this class from Glovertown Academy took Physical Education 3100 to the next level with a fitness in the forest field trip to Terra Nova National Park!

During their visit they worked with Happy Adventure Tours in the park to arrange a group kayak excursion - like participaction, paddle-style!

Fun and educational hands-on programs and field trips are available in Terra Nova National Park from late-May to mid-October. Call 709-533-2801 to find out more!

Our Story
