Hada, is a magical place. Located in the Great Bear Rainforest off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island, it is the ancestral territory of the Ḵwiḵwa̱sut’inux̱w Ha̱xwa’mis. Recently declared an Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area (IPAC), it is home to Nawalakw, a unique cultural healing camp that brings together youth and elders to share traditions and revitalize the Kwakʼwala language.
karibu is the first and only tour group to be invited to Hada. We meet members of the community, hear from cultural leaders and go for a magical walk in the ancient moss covered rainforest. It’s a privilege and a transformational experience.
