❄️Winter Cyanotypes Workshop!

Enjoy a creative afternoon playing with light to create the cyanotype — a camera-less photographic print in Prussian blue.

Explore this 19th century technique as you learn about early photography. There will be authentic antique cameras on a curated display during the workshop. We may also forage nearby St. Jacob’s for our botanically-inspired subject matter. Suitable to all skill levels. All materials will be provided.

Kathak Workshop at Neruda Arts Studio!

Kathak, derived from the Sanskrit word "Katha," meaning "story," is an Indian classical dance style from North India. Kathak is known for its intricate footwork, spins, rhythmic patterns, and expressive storytelling.

The workshop will cover the foundational elements of Kathak, focusing on basic footwork, hand movements, spins, and storytelling through dance.

The workshop is open to all ages and genders!

About the teacher
Gouri Kundu is a Kathak dancer, teacher, and choreographer based in Kitchener, Ontario. She began her Kathak journey at the age of five, learning under the guidance of Smt. Srilekha Mukherjee in India. She continued her advanced training for over 20 years under Dr. Malabika Mitra, also in India. Gouri has performed solo Kathak recitals and participated in group choreographies in both India and Canada.

Don't miss it. This Sunday, Jan. 12th at 2pm, the Elmira Sugar Kings are holding their charity game supporting Woolwich Community Services! The jerseys the Kings will be wearing for the game are sponsored by Elmira Door & Trim and will be auctioned off after the game in support of WCS.
