Travel emergency medical insurance...a must have but you need to read the terms and conditions (aka the fine print). All sorts of things such as a simple medication change 3 months ago can give them a reason to deny your claim. Can you afford a several hundred thousand $$$ bill?

An Ontario man who received a $620,000 medical bill from a Florida hospital is now relieved that his insurance company has reversed its decision and decided to pay the bill.

My daughter and her partner recently enjoyed a relaxing getaway on a Royal Caribbean cruise which stopped in the Bahamas, Haiti and Jamaica. The ship was complete with a 330ft long NYC style central park, ice skating rink and a coney island inspired boardwalk. There is so much to do on the oasis class ships for everyone in the extended family such as:
- Sports: mini golf, surfing, volleyball, basketball, diving classes etc.
- Entertainment: comedy show, music hall, adults only nightclub, casino, professional diving show, game shows, karaoke
- Fine Dining: Seafood, Italian, Steakhouse, Chefs Table, BBQ Smokehouse

Airlines are making changes. This is Air Canada but I expect more to follow.

Months after WestJet added a controversial ultrabasic ticket that didn’t allow travellers to bring a carry-on bag, Air Canada is following suit by stripping carry-on baggage from its cheapest tickets on some routes.

Well while we are dealing with snow squalls here i have clients in Mexico, Jamaica and Dominican Republic that are soaking up the sun. My Dominican clients are in Puerto Plata and spent a day walking and hiking. Looks amazing.

Clients just returned from a great week in Negril, Jamaica. Oceanfront room, shuttle over to Ricks Cafe, Margaritas while watching the fun. Think they may go back some day.

Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic is where today's clients are enjoying the sun and sand with some nice nature thrown in. Long walks on the beach and a biking tour are some of their daily activities.

Todays clients are currently enjoying a unique boutique resort in Negril. Imagine treehouse villas with a daybed on the verandah for a pre dinner nap. Or just hang out and feed the birds. A gorgeous beach with lots of food and waiter service. This is the perfect romantic and quiet resort for the ultimate relaxing vacation.

I have several clients traveling south right now. First to show you are the clients in the Akumal area of the Riviera Maya. Small wellness resort. Looks like they have a lovely ground floor terrace with comfy chairs and just a short walk to the waters edge. Hoping they come back super refreshed and recharged.

Here we go again. Regrettably, the Travel and Tourism industry has been dealt a blow with yesterday's announcement regarding the failure of Calgary-based Lynx Airlines. (Read the story here). It is certainly not the first and will likely not be the last.
