Happy Halloween from the Trail Camera. Spooky.

Saturday, I set up a camera on a beaver house along the river. On Sunday and Tuesday I had about 200 pictures. Interesting, not one picture on Monday. That was the day it snowed. Maybe beavers do not work in the snow. On Sunday (pics 1-3) all the pictures were carrying mud and putting it into a hole, over & over again. On Tuesday it was all about construction.

The colour picture is from August 2 when I first noticed this bear with what appears to be a sore on its leg. The black & white are from October 17th. I think same bear. It seem to be OK and healthy.

Was thrilled to see all these mating, Autumn Meadowhawks Dragonflies today. They even started to land on my kayak. And in 15 minutes everything was over.

Overview of the journey.

Here the poor little turtle sees me. Sorry little guy. When this happens they stop walking and just freeze. Once I left it went on its way.

I went back in the evening via kayak. Beaver walking over the nest and side of the river. This is where the baby turtles had buried themselves. I got out and checked. No evidence on rivers edge of little turtles. Maybe they moved on?
