This small, heart shaped item is a ‘to***co grade marker.’ These markers were attached to packages of chewing or smoking to***co, possibly to differentiate between the two, and have been found at sites ranging from Florida to Alaska.

Found during excavations of the Long Sault site on the grounds of Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Ning in the 70’s, this tag represents part of the historic occupation of this region.
