Nicole Smith Conflict Management Nicole Smith - Positive, Compassionate Conflict Management Is workplace conflict slowing productivity and negatively impacting your team?
(1)

Nicole Smith Conflict Management will get to the root of the problem by giving you the tools you need to rebuild a healthy workplace atmosphere. From a young age, Nicole has had a unique ability to connect with people while gaining their trust. She grew up in Nashwaak Bridge, New-Brunswick, a small, close-knit, caring community. She learned social dynamics and the benefits of working through confl

icts instead of avoiding them. Nicole left her hometown and went to the Philippines to pursue her dreams of working for human rights. While visiting the country’s Indigenous communities, she learned the importance of understanding community culture and remaining respectful to their values and customs. After a year in the Philippines, she returned to Canada, where she earned her master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from the University of Victoria. She then joined the government of Canada, traveling with a negotiation team tasked with negotiating with Indigenous communities in The Northwest Territories. Nicole has brought her experience and skills back to her home province. She has applied her knowledge and expertise for over 10 years and continues to conduct complex evaluations within workplaces with a goal of reaching high levels of understanding and resolution. Nicole Smith Conflict Management provides the following services:
- Informal Conflict Management (Coaching and Mediation)
- Workplace Assessments
- Investigations
- Training

Nicole Smith Conflict Management is based in Fredericton, New-Brunswick, Canada.

💫 Today. Was. Big. 💫

We reached a new goal this morning, one that had been in the works for months. Nicole Smith Conflict Management and I met through Women in Business NB - Femmes en Affaires NB by chance. After our very first discussion, we knew our skills would provide us with opportunities to help others in new ways.

After months of drafting, and planning, we did our very first in-person training.

Things came together beautifully and I could not be happier as I reflect on the day.

Thank you, folks. Participants, and assistants, you honestly helped me step closer to my dreams.

"I joined the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce very shortly after starting my business and I was very nervous about suddenly working for myself. Christine sat down with me and talked me through all of the different membership services and benefits. Her kind, caring demeanor in that meeting really made me feel "not alone" in this entrepreneurship journey.

During the initial phase of the pandemic, the chamber’s daily update email really kept me going. I relied on it for up to the minute information about the government programs that were being announced so fast and furiously. I am a consultant, so my company is just me, and that sense of community that the Fredericton chamber staff created during the initial lock down was important to me.

I appreciate how welcoming the chamber staff are at the networking events - they all are always so warm and inviting. I am really proud of how engaged the Fredericton chamber is in advocacy and political policy - municipally, provincially and federally. They always seem to be on top of the issues and watching out for us as members.

Any time I need a recommendation for a business service in Fredericton - from business cards to water damage repair - I start my search at the Chamber member directory." - Nicole Smith, Nicole Smith Conflict Management

I just finished the University of Alberta's 12-week, online course Indigenous Canada. It is a primer that covers the gamut from history to political movements to art. I learned so much! And felt so lucky that such a comprehensive course was available for free.

If you or your employees are looking to get more informed about Indigenous Canada, I highly recommend it.

Offered by University of Alberta. Indigenous Canada is a 12-lesson Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the Faculty of Native Studies that ... Enroll for free.
