Typical merganser set up. Can't beat wooden decoys to match the low profile of a red breasted!
Just picture these guys dropping into our spread!
Couple of January black ducks searching for open water low enough to feed in.
If a Borealis (Northern) eider is on your bucket list look no further then Borealis Outfitters. 99% of our harvests are the Northern sub-species. The king eiders are also becoming more common as well with 5 harvested in 7 hunts.
For more information feel free to send us a message. We hope you enjoy the video we put together this past weekend to show you guys a little more about what we do!
Friendly hunt over the weekend with a few friends. So far we got 5 kings. We even managed kings on back to back days. Good shooting boys see you all next week hopefully.
Found a new spot and it was on fire!
1 hen king in the mix!
Got ducks?
We have no shortage of eiders here on Newfoundland's Northeast coast. As the season progresses and the arctic ice flow finds its way to our shores so do flocks of eiders numbering in the hundreds and sometimes thousands pushed south by the ocean of ice, making Newfoundland's Northeast Coast one of the best places on the planet to hunt the Borealis sub-species of the common eider.
Newfoundland has never been known as a sea duck hunting hot-spot, but we plan to change that!
