EVAS Air Ltd. is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 or M1/M2 for its Flight Training division in Gander, NL.

The AME is directly responsible to the Director of Maintenance and will possess a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Category M1. The AME exercises the privileges of the ACA, including providing technical job direction.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Perform repairs and inspections to the GFT fleet of Cessna and Piper aircraft

· Performing work in accordance with company manuals

· Work with Logistics & Planning to ensure parts, tools and equipment are available for upcoming maintenance events and projects

· Performing required computer entries and functions

· Complying with company policies, procedures, and standards

· Ensuring any issues that could jeopardize production or airworthiness are raised in a timely manner

· Ensuring airworthiness and safety policies, processes and standards are complied with

· Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace


JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Possession of a valid M1 or M1/M2 license

· Experience on Cessna and Piper piston powered aircraft is considered an asset

· Proven ability to liaise with other Company personnel and outside agencies

· Must have good understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Programs

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Ability to obtain RAIC and AVOP

Meet Lyndon Rowe - Evas Air Chief Pilot

Lyndon Started his flight training in Deer Lake, NL in 1989. He has done a little bit of everything since then. Lyndon was a Flight instructor with Brampton flight centre for a couple of years, did some corporate flying out of London and Ottawa. He also Flew out west for TransWest, went to FlightExec and flew corporate on the Falcon out of Toronto before deciding to move back home to Newfoundland! Lyndon is a father of two beautiful girls and has been a dedicated Captain with EVAS Air for the last 12 years, sitting at over 13,000 flight hours. Being one of our most senior captains, we are excitied to welcome Lyndon into the new role of Chief Pilot! We know that your experience and dedication will shine through this new position! We look forward to keeping you around for many years to come.✈️✈️

Meet Brandi Hicks, Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice.

Brandi is from Musgrave Harbour, NL and has been with EVAS for just a little over a year. She knew from a young age she wanted her career to be within the aviation industry and she loved anything with a motor. So, Brandi jumped in with two feet, something that is not always easy for a female in this field. She completed her Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program and never looked back!

Brandi is an excellent worker and always looks for ways to get the job done! Her favourite part about the job is that every day is different, you never know what to expect next and every day you’re bound to learn something new!

We are so happy to have Brandi on our EVAS team!

Meet Nick Anthony, from beautiful Conception Bay South NL, First Officer with EVAS Air!

Nick has recently joined EVAS after completeing his training with our sister company GFT.

When training at GFT, students are placed into a hiring pool based on their performance, skill level, work ethic, detail to safety and communication skills. Nick is a perfect example of this pathway into EVAS as he excelled in ALL areas! Scoring in the top of his class.

Nick is enjoying his aviation career so far! He is able to commute between Gander and his hometown easily and in his spare time gets to play Hockey on home Ice!

We are truly proud and excited to have Nick as apart of our EVAS family! We hope to keep him for many years to come!

Meet Michael Neary - EVAS Air First Officer!

Mr. Neary, from Portugal Cove, NL joined our EVAS Team as a First Officer in May 2023. Michael is no stranger to EVAS though, we picked him from our GFT student pool. We always tell new GFT students on their first day of school that they had just began their first aviation career interview. Michael took this advice and ran with it! While completing his Private, Commercial, Multi, and IFR Ratings at GFT, Michael always had a positive attitude, he was never late for a flight, he excelled in all of his ground schools, exams and flight tests, and he was always a team player. These qualities continue to shine through as he is now living his best life flying medevac and cargo operations with EVAS while driving race cars and skidoos in his spare time.

We are so happy to have you on our team Michael and we are excited to see you continue in your career. It won't be long before we are upgrading you to Captain.

Company Owner/CEO Mr. Patrick White and Commercial Student Abigayle Little 📸

18-year-old Abigayle Little of Bloomfield, Bonavista Bay, is studying for her Commercial Pilot License at Gander Flight Training, however she has also been honoured with the Governor General’s Award.
Abigayle has received numerous awards and recognition for her academic achievements over the years. In addition, she has received extensive training as an air cadet in Clarenville, Gander, and at military base in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. Plus, Abigayle was accepted for the Power Pilot Training Course and was named Top Power Cadet in Newfoundland as she works towards her private pilot license. She also does work with EVAS Air in Gander as a Flight Follower.
