One of the questions I get asked most as a travel agent is “when is the least busy time of year to visit Walt Disney World?” ⁉️

Well, with Walt Disney World always offering great special offers, new attractions and celebrations there really is no true down time anymore! However, with that being said in previous years I have noticed that by visiting in early January (after the holiday season) and early February, as well as late August through early September, it can mean fewer crowds! 🗓️

My clients have also had good luck the week right after American Thanksgiving, which typically offers cooler weather and beautiful holiday decorations without the larger holiday crowds! 🎄

My advice - the best time for you to travel is going to be the best time for YOUR family as everyone has different vacation time and obligations! Let’s work together to figure out when that is! 📲

I’ve been holding on to Christmas for a few extra days this year even though I it’s finally time to get the decorations down.

For some reason I’m just not ready to pack it all up for another year, especially my tree.
There’s something so magical and calming about starting and ending the day with the glow from those lights 🎄

When do you un-decorate for Christmas? Are you a get it all away as soon as it’s over or do you let Christmas linger a little bit longer?

🎡 Walt Disney World opened in 1971 and since then there have been plenty of new attractions added as well as some original attractions that have been reimagined a time or two! In order to keep things moving forward, as Walt would say, we need to keep opening new doors which means some of your favorite attractions may be closed for refurbishment from time to time!

⏰By working with a travel agent, you will know ahead of time which attractions will be closed during your visit. Currently, here is what you can expect in the upcoming year:

⭐️Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Closing for refurbishment January 6, 2025 until 2026
⭐️Astro Orbiter: Closing for refurbishment January 13, 2025 through summer 2025
⭐️Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Square Riverboat: Permanently Closing in 2025
⭐️Hall of Presidents: Closing from January 20, 2025 until TBD
⭐️Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith: Closing for re-theming to The Muppets, date TBD
⭐️Muppets Courtyard: Permanently closing to make way for Monsters, Inc. land – date TBD

🖼 Visual Arts: The festival showcases a wide range of art forms, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and more. You can explore art galleries featuring works by both Disney and non-Disney artists. I loved popping in and out of the booths to see the amazing artwork and also encountering the chalk work being done!

🎶Performing Arts: Live performances are a significant part of the festival. These may include live music, theatrical performances, and entertainment that showcases various forms of art and creativity. You can enjoy live concerts featuring Broadway performers who showcase classic Disney song!
