Well, my 5th time on the Wild Africa Trek was amazing!! This is one tour I could do every single trip!!

It’s a 3 hour tour through some behind the scenes areas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park and has some really great views and encounters and lunch is provided.

You do need to be mobile as the paths can be rough in places, plus crossing the bridge 😳!

One of the BIGGEST pieces of news from the D23 Expo was the announcement that Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World is getting an expansion!!

While I may not be venture over to Tom Sayer Island all that often, I’m not sure how I feel about it leaving the park!

Update: Largest Expansion in History for Magic Kingdom

The historic expansion of Magic Kingdom officially begins as permits are filed this week to start moving ground. Starting with Frontierland, where the American West has always been about seeking new adventures and keeping your eyes on the horizon. 

Bringing the Western charm of iconic national parks to a brand-new story inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ “Cars,” Lightning McQueen, Mater and all their friends will soon find themselves at the Magic Kingdom in a reimagined section of Frontierland. To make way for this completely new frontier, the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island will be transformed into vast and rugged terrains for a rally race with some of the world’s most iconic racers.  

Ahead of work revving into high gear next year, guests will have plenty of time to experience the charm and nostalgia of Frontierland as it is today. 
Once completed, this reimagined area of Frontierland will be home to two new “Cars”-themed attractions taking guests into the wilderness beyond Radiator Springs

And cruising just around the bend, guests will be able to venture Beyond Big Thunder Mountain into an all-new land dedicated to Disney Villains. Inspired by the wicked characters fans know and loathe, learn more about the multi-acre expansion that will include two major attractions, plus dining and shopping.

Together, these new additions to Magic Kingdom will represent the largest expansion in park history.

Alright, here we go!! Today is the day! Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass are now in effect!

When can you book?

🌙 Walt Disney World Resort packages and stays ➡️ 7 days prior to your stay!!
☀️ Day guests / Offsite Stays ➡️ 3 days prior to your visit

🔕 No more waking up at 7am everyday on vacation! For resort guests, you can book at 7am a week before your arrival. Day guests may book at 7am at least 3 days in advance.
💲 Expect that each park will vary in price and that surge pricing can occur during busier times of the year.
🎡 you’ll need to cluster your bookings together to maximize the amount of rides you book through Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
🥉 You can book 3 in advance and have 3 in your MDE any anytime! Lets say you start your day at 9am with 3 booked, for 9:30, 10:30, 12pm...After you ride the 9:30 selection, and you still have two to go, you can select a 4th option for say 2pm. This goes on through your day.
🎢 Single Pass will remain similar in nature: just select the time you want to ride! These passes can be made for different parks from your Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
