Happy New Year!

We are excited and ready to announce that on January 10th we will be opening our Air bnb site for 2022 bookings.

I wanted to give a week heads up to those of you who would like to book privately with me to ensure ýou get the dates you want.

Well that's a wrap! We are officially finished with the 2021 season.

We have welcomed an amazing couple into Westella who will take care of our cottage over the winter.

While we wait for summer 2022 I will be posting more about local eats, destinations, and hikes to wet your appetite for next year.

We will open bookings for summer 2022 in January.

Finally, I want to say a HUGE thank you to all our wonderful guests who have made my dream of cottage renting come true!

As we near the end of our cottage season I am so thankful for all of our amazing guests. We have hosted families, friendship reunions, girls weekends, and romantic getaways. 2021 has been quite the year I would say! I am looking forward to reopening Westella Cottage in 2022.

One of my most asked questions is what is the path to the beach like? So I decided to give you a preview of what to expect! This path is about 5 minute walk from Westella Cottage. Worth the hike to be down at this beach!

Last year when we walked down to the community beach (an 8 minute walk from Westella Cottage) and we were a bit disappointed with the lack of beach.

But this year I am so happy to see the water levels have gone down! Last night I went for a walk and sat on the sand while the sun went down. This summer weather is so good for the soul!

Wonder where we got the name "Westella"?

Well ... meet our 3 kiddos Weston (West), Lucas (el), and Lyla (la).

These kids deserve some credit after all the many hours spent picking out tile, appliances, furniture, and flooring.

They (usually) had good attitudes when I needed them to play in the unfinished basement or to sit quietly upstairs while I cleaned, unpacked, or built the many many pieces of furniture.

This has been a year of change and grace as we adjusted to homeschooling and building our dream cottage. I am so lucky to have done all this change with them by my side!

When we purchased this little blue cottage in January 2020 we weren't sure if we would reno or demo. After a few hours of gutting the inside we quickly realized we would be doing a full demo and rebuild and we are so happy with how it all came together ❤
