The treelines shelter the property from neighbours. The cottage/lakehouse is built on a crest and the view of the property slopes gently down to the water frontages. THE LAKE VIEW / ACCESS
There are multiple waterfront views to enjoy. The water access is extremely gradual, sandy/silt on the bay side, rocky on the point/west side. The Bay has a 40 foot dock with extended sitting area over the water where you can sit and relax, alone or with company. Enjoy a canoe ride or one of the two kayaks provided along with other inflatable watercraft/toys as part of your stay. THE DECK / OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
The Beautiful wrap around deck is complete with multiple sitting/social areas: a screened in eating area with access off the kitchen/dining room, a covered outdoor BBQ cooking area with dining table and a westward facing outdoor living room area for enjoying the spectacular sunsets. The deck provides breathtaking views of the West side of the property and lake view. The other side provides a view of the beach area and bay, also a lake view. The deck also has ramp access off of ground level by the gravel driveway and walkout basement access as well as a wide staircase on the westward side. THE INTERIOR OF THE LAKEHOUSE
The interior of the Lakehouse/Cottage is as spectacular as the property it sits on. The décor is “Rustic/Chic” and features and open concept kitchen, dining and living room area. LIVING AREA
The vaulted cathedral ceiling Living room has floor to ceiling westward windows to feature the view of the lake and property along with a wood stove / fireplace (firewood included). It is equipped with a couch, love-seat (pull out single bed inside for extra guests) a chaise lounge and wingback chair. The Secretary desk has plenty of board games and cards for the occasional rainy day or evening game time and there plenty of books to read. For those who crave the creature comforts of home, there is a wall mounted flat-screen TV with DVD player and a selection of DVDs available. With the WIFI and Chromecast, streaming options are available. KITCHEN
The kitchen has a peninsula and island providing plenty of space for meal preparation. It is fully equipped with a fridge, stove and dishwasher. All standard cookware, glassware, flatware, and small appliances are provided (coffee makers (standard drip and Kurreg), microwave, hand mixer, electric griddle and electric crock pot) as well as basic sundries and pantry items. DINING AREA
The dining area has a view of both the living area and the kitchen and has direct access to the deck through French doors. It also leads directly into the screened in eating area. The expandable table seats 8 comfortably and can accommodate up to 10. MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM
The main floor bathroom is 4 piece shower/bath with a bonus stacking washer/dryer combo. Linens and towels are provided as are basic sundries such as toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, cleaning supplies etc. There is also a clothes line to dry outside off of the outdoor cooking area. SLEEPING QUARTERS
The Lakehouse boasts 3 main bedrooms, each with a ceiling fan and closet for plenty of storage. The 1st Master bedroom: is equipped with a queen bed, dresser and side tables This premium room features French doors that open to the wrap around deck with a personal bistro table set for two to enjoy the beautiful view of the westward waterfront. The 2nd bedroom: has a queen bed and dresser with the window facing the Bay side of the lake.
3rd bedroom: features an ingenious design of a Queen Bed with a Built in Single bed overtop. The ladder access is removable with French cleat anchoring and has a safety rail for additional piece of mind. Additional sleeping: Bunk beds (singles) are tucked away in an alcove in the heated basement with and additional single bed beside them. There is and additional rolling cot for children (stored in the basement) and a pull out single bed in the love-seat. In total Ward’s Point on Golden Lake sleeps 10 comfortably, 12 with cot and pull out couch)
BASEMENT
Full size bathroom with shower. Provided is an additional full size fridge (good for overflow food and drinks). Access is through double wide walk out doors which open to driveway / ramp area. There is access for utilities and sporting equipment storage. Included is a full size billiards table for raining days and evening fun. SPORTING EQUIPMENT INCLUDED IN RENTAL PRICE
