The Fall 2022 extended closure begins at 12 pm (MT) on September 26 and continues until 6 am December 1.

Highways 93S and 95 may be used as alternate routes during this time.
The highway will reopen with no stoppages during the Thanksgiving holiday long weekend from 12 pm October 7 to 12 pm October 11.

Updated closure details.

The Trans-Canada Highway through the Kicking Horse Canyon will be open for the long weekend as its full closure comes to a close. There will be no stoppages from May 21-23. However, on May 24, the section of Highway 3 will be returning to intermittent closures. There will be 30-minute delays during....
