We purchased this beautiful ski home at our favorite ski resort: Kicking Horse. We decided to name it the Black Wolf Chalet because when we drove up to Kicking Horse we weren't sure if we were doing the right thing, investing so much money into a second home at such an uncertain economic time. But on the drive between Banf and Radium Springs we came across a HUGE black wolf calmly walking down th

e road. It was just us and one other car from the other direction, stopped on the road watching this majestic creature slowly walk down the road and eventually off into the woods. It was at that moment we knew that this was the right thing to do. It seemed that fate stepped in to assure us in the form a beautiful, big black wolf. And so we named our home after that moment. We hope our home can bring you the same joy it does us everytime we think about that black wolf.

The notorious Kicking Horse takes the number one spot thanks to its steeps, along with its brutal vertical drop of over 4000 feet.
