While out on visits today Abby stumbled across this incredible scene. She sat and watched the whale for nearly 10 minutes from the wharf before they both moved on. 🐋

Adventure Central Newfoundland couldn’t be prouder to present the one and only, Hazel Bishop, President and CEO of the Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce, with our final Bergy, the Pinnacle Award: Tourism Ambassador of the Year.
Hazel has been with the Chamber for 22 years, and during that time has put a major focus on business, especially the tourism industry throughout the Kittiwake Coast region. In 2003, she saw the need for a much larger and improved Tourist Information Centre to represent the local industry and provide a friendly and welcoming experience for the ever-increasing number of tourists to the area. Visitor numbers at the centre went from 7,200 in 2003 to a whopping 24,000 in 2019. Did you know Hazel sat on the founding Board of Adventure Central and has remained an active member and supporter of the DMO? She has served as a Director for many years and continues to attend and participates in the sessions they provide.
Congratulations Hazel! To learn more about the Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce and all the great work they do, visit https://ganderareachamber.ca/
