The Rotary Spray Park will be reopening tomorrow! Fencing is still in place while work continues to finish the nearby flood protection works, but the crew has got everything back in shape for kids to enjoy the spray park once again this summer!

GRAND FORKS MUNICIPAL CAMPGROUND

Closed due to spring freshet (flooding) until JUNE 2nd.

The campground was closed due to spring flooding – to allow time for the water to recede and maintenance to be completed, the city will be reopening the campground on June 2.

Any reservations made for dates prior to June 2 will be refunded.

New reservations may still be made now, but only for dates later than June 2.

Effective at noon PDT on Thursday, August 4, 2022, campfires will be prohibited throughout the Southeast Fire Centre’s jurisdiction to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.

Hot and dry conditions in the Southeast Fire Centre are expected to continue. The fire danger rating in the region is generally High to Extreme.

Prohibitions on Category 2 and Category 3 open burning remain in effect throughout the Southeast Fire Centre’s jurisdiction. The campfire prohibition will remain in effect until the public is otherwise notified.

The lineup of activities last Canada Day weekend were just about more than one could possibly take in. It was a blast trying! This weekend we have live entertainment on Saturday night at the GEM Theatre, a Garden Tour organized by the local garden club on Sunday and don't forget about the Car Show. Stop in at Visitor Services Gallery 2 - Grand Forks Art Gallery for more information.

We are getting so excited to host the Car Show on Saturday. The weather looks like it is going to be perfect.

Anna Ham, Kassi and Zero to One will be performing during the day and we will have DJ's Mini Donuts and Jilly Beans Ice Cream food trucks.

If you are still interested in joining us you can register the day of the show. The entry fee is by donation with proceeds going to our local food bank. Cars should approach Market Ave from 72nd Ave and enter on to Market at 4th St. There will be signage to follow as well.

Take Home Art Kits - Saturday, July 2 from 10 am to 3 pm

Gallery 2 is excited to present our Take Home Art Kits for our summer exhibitions. The kits contain all the supplies to create a papier mache island inspired by Jude Griebel’s Illuminated Collapse and crepe paper flowers inspired by Monique Martin’s Context is Everything.

The art kits are available at no cost, but there is very limited supply. They will be available at the gallery on a first come first served basis on Saturday, July 2nd from 10 am -3 pm.
