It was love at first sniff!🤪

Scent is such a powerful thing….it’s incredible how the subtle breath of a scent can immediately transport you to a different time and place…even unearthing memories you’d long since forgotten!
For me those powerful scents are wild roses near the ocean, freshly brewed coffee mixed with wood smoke, and….drumroll please…sunscreen and cigarette smoke!😂Just keeping it real folks!🤪
That smell has me 8 years old on Stanley’s beach again EVERY dang time😂😂
I’m not sure that scent would go over well as an eau de toilette tho🤣

I’ve developed a bit of a romantic attachment to the old wooden spoons that were left in the cottage when I bought it.
I just love using them.
I can’t help but wonder who before me used them? 🥣
What were they making?
Were they preparing something for an evening gathering with friends or perhaps muffins with the raspberries they picked earlier in the day?
I guess I’ll never know, but I sure do love imagining…

This week I celebrated my
“I-bought-a-cottage-aversary”!🏡
Never in my WILDEST dreams could I have imagined accomplishing this goal at the stage of life I’m in. NEVER.
Every day it proves to me (and I hope to my girls too) that I am built for “more” than what I may limit myself to.
It has not always been an easy road, but definitely a worthwhile one; all the while clinging to hope, prayer, grit, faith, gin (repeat….)🤪
Thanks to all of you on and off this social media platform for following and supporting me throughout this special chapter of my life. 🤍
