And today concludes our 2024 season! The weather has definitely turned and today was a good reminder of that! The outdoor decor, chairs , bbq, hose and weathervane have all been put away and I finished cleaning the house and washing and storing all linens away in bins for the winter.
The 2025 calendar is open for booking !
Thank you!
Fishing isn’t the only activity you can watch from the house, if you ever wondered how bales of hay are now made, you might catch my cousin Camille working the field behind the house. I kinda liked watching the square bale machinery more myself. As you can see, they like to roll!
Should be dry in like 5-10 minutes today ☺️
“Snap!”
Here’s a little trick that a former cleaner showed me. I thought she had a fancy gadget to “ seal” the toilet paper edge on the roll or something, nope, turns out it was pretty simple ☺️ Do you notice these little details when renting out a place? The little things show me that people care and that likely the cleaning is thorough. 🙂
Gorgeous day at the Harbour. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend so far.
Happy Friday!! We’re excited to welcome our first guests of the season next week! Hope you have some fun plans for this long weekend.
It’s a breezy day at the harbour ❤️
Saturday morning , receding waters, but our road is in jeopardy as well as our property with the increasing frequency of powerful storms and storm surges.
Bustling activity on a beautiful afternoon at the harbour.
Starry skies, calm winds, peepers and crashing waves. It’s a beautiful evening at the harbour.
So we don’t go out in blizzards for the fun of it, but were alerted to maybe go check on the house ( thanks to my cousin for keeping watch) . Storms are not usually a reason to worry, but high storm surges are. Not the gentle lapping summertime waves , when the ocean reaches your front step ( and beyond) it’s a little worrisome! Thankfully water levels had peaked and were dropping , according to the water mark on the stone walls in the basement. Down 3” , but still over 2’ of water in there! ( incapacitated sump pump) Partially frozen puddled surf part way up the driveway and lawn. It’s been rough weather wise the past couple of months!
A minute by the ocean at Grand Etang Harbour.
I’m not a great video speaker by any means , so excuse the mumbling and stuttering! But check out the house tour. Feel free to share!
