The Fire and Ice Festival returns to Downtown Bracebridge on Saturday, January 27, from 9 am to 6 pm.

Volunteers are needed to bring this event to life. New this year, volunteers can register and choose their shifts through an online portal.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions:
❄️ Ticket sales;
❄️ Tube run attendants;
❄️ Parking attendants;
❄️ Mascot/mascot assistant;
❄️ Carnival game attendants; and
❄️ Set up/tear down crew.

Turtles are on the move to hibernation sites.

It takes 60 years to replace just one and we’ve lost so many - populations are dwindling. If they are healthy and vibrant, take them in the direction they’re heading. Never relocate a turtle. If you see one that’s injured retrieve them and text us at 705-854-2888 or call the turtle hospital at 705-741-5000. There are volunteers that can meet you wherever you are in Ontario to get them to get treatment. Turtles can lose 70% of their blood and still survive.

We worry a bit about turtles that could become “cold-stunned” from the unusually low temperatures in the evenings and mornings when they may be travelling back to hibernation sites. If you see any turtles that just “fall asleep” or aren’t moving and don’t respond to touch, yet are clearly alive, please stay with the turtle and text us at 705-854-2888. They could also be scared- but over the next few days of cold nights and mornings, it’s just a safety precaution.

The Bala Cranberry Festival is Back!

Adults: $10 (advance) or $12 (at the gate)
Children (12 & under): $5 (advance or at the gate)

3-DAY PASS
Adults: $15 (advance) or $17 (at the gate)
Children (12 & under): $8 (advance or at the gate)

Kids 12 and under FREE on Friday!

Advance tickets online starting in mid-August!
