Lori earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) from Sheridan College in 2011. After graduating, she joined the Guelph Storm Hockey Club as their Athletic Therapist, where she spent three years, culminating in a memorable final season that took the team to the Memorial Cup Finals. Following her time with the Storm, Lori pursued further education in Massage Therapy, graduating in 2015, and has been successfully running her own business since then. In 2020, she partnered with Kristina Milligan to launch Synergy Sport Therapy.
Lori's commitment to continuous learning has led her to obtain certifications in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage, Cupping, and she is soon to be certified in Myofunctional Therapy.
Synergy Sport Therapy is an Athletic and Massage Therapy clinic located in the northeast end of Guelph. The clinic prides itself on a multidisciplinary, active approach to rehabilitation and injury prevention. Each appointment offers one hour of personalized therapy that includes manual therapy, modalities, education, and exercise prescription. The ideal client is anyone eager to take an active role in improving their overall function and well-being.
Originally from a small town outside of Barrie, Lori was a competitive figure skater until she switched to hockey at age 17. She has always led an active lifestyle, enjoying skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and traveling. In 2013, she backpacked through Europe, and in 2018, she took a dream trip to the Galapagos Islands and Peru. Lori currently resides in Guelph with her husband, two young sons, and two husky mix pups.
