This half-day experience is offered on Saturdays in March. Meet at 598 Isaac’s Harbour Road, Guysborough County. This is an opportunity for people who are interested in birds and the great outdoors to experience how wildlife can thrive in winter. Contrary to the popular notion that wild animals are on a long winter’s sleep, most are in fact busy, and indeed for some winter birds see Nova Scotia as their main home, and others as their sunny southern vacation. Imagine!

We bird watch and take short hikes to look-offs along the coast from Port Hilford to New Harbour estuary. If there are only a few of us, we will simply travel in the NovaNature van, but if more, we will car-pool.
