Nova Scotia lobster is making headlines! 🦞 Recently featured on Vietnam’s national TV channel, VTV3, our premium lobster is gaining fans internationally.

Did you know the Indo-Pacific region makes up 39% of Nova Scotia’s seafood exports? Vietnam is a key player, enjoying top favourites like lobster, snow crab, clams, and coldwater shrimp.

Happy dumping day! Today marks the opening of Lobster Fishing Areas (LFAs) 33 & 34, Nova Scotia’s largest lobster fishing region. For the next six months, harvesters in this region will brave the cold waters to bring you premium quality lobster, Nova Scotia's top seafood export, cherished worldwide for its exceptional quality.

To the hardworking harvesters embarking on this season: thank you for your dedication and resilience. Wishing you calm seas, full traps, and a safe, prosperous season.

From Nova Scotia, Canada to Singapore ✈️

We’re headed to Singapore at the beginning of September and looking forward to participating in Seafood Expo Asia alongside six Nova Scotia seafood companies. As home to one of the busiest shipping hubs in the world, connecting 600 ports in over 120 countries, Singapore is a crucial center for global seafood trade.

Last year, Nova Scotia exported $2.5 billion dollars worth of seafood internationally, representing 32% of Canada’s total seafood exports. One of our biggest markets was the Indo-Pacific region, where we exported close to $952 million worth of seafood last year – 39% of our total exports. We look forward to building on that! 🦞
