Everest Basecamp 🙌

Hiking at elevation is no joke and we could not have done it without our incredible support team!

While the destination of Everest Basecamp was the original motivation, it was the journey that was the highlight (or truly MANY highlights).

We will post more updates as we commute away from Nepal (to Patagonia for our next trip) so stay tuned for some snippets of the in between moments from start to finish on one of our favourite adventures ever!

We plan to host this trip again in 2025 but it’s not for everyone and we will have honest conversations with anyone that wants to join. You can do it!! But it won’t be easy. Just worth it ;)

We have departed on the first ROAM Everest Basecamp invitational!

Some frequent ROAMers have joined us on this incredible exploratory trip. We are not roughing it quite as we nestle into heated beds each night after stunning hikes each day.

The Nepali people are so warm and welcoming and this time of year avoids the crowds on the trail. Stay tuned for updates as we climb to higher elevations and let us know if your interested in joining these private departures in the future.

Another incredible Zambezi Explorer season comes to a close. For those of you coming to Bear Camp soon or following the river blockage, all is good. We have had a few trips disrupted but much like a big fire year, we invented new itineraries - double shots of Lava and heli hiking add ons to adapt.

The good news is that the river has breached and the salmon should be able to return in time. Truth be known, we'd rather deal with a new class IV rapid than the 100 hungry bears that will arrive, salmon or not 🙂
