A private, newly built (2019), modern, bright and spacious home complete with 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 people, (king, queen and twin/double bedrooms + sofa-bed). The house has a large open plan lounge and kitchen with a breakfast bar, two shower rooms (one ensuite) and a washer/dryer. The house has panoramic views over the Mabou hills and the Mabou harbour inlet. The house is set in 2+ acres of land with private parking and beautiful views. All the furniture, utensils and appliances were purchased new within the last 3 years and the interior has a bright, open and modern feel. Enjoy an evening on the decking enjoying the sunset, or cozy up inside and look out at the panoramic view! Guest access
Guests can access the entire main floor (apart from one closet), including three bedrooms, two shower rooms and a large open plan living area. Other things to note
The TV has internet service only (no channels), including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube and various apps. The stove in the living room is not for use by guests. No smoking or pets in the house or on the decks.

The views and landscape in Cape Breton need to be seen to be believed, and the view from West Mabou Home can be quite breathtaking.
Try to picture yourself drinking your morning coffee or tea while taking in this view ... absolute bliss!

We still have some availability left during July and August, or book in for the Fall, when you can see the spectacular reds, oranges and yellow that the trees become!

When visiting Cape Breton Island it's impossible not to come across incredible music, singing and dancing on ever corner. This Gaelic walking song demonstrates some of the strong ties that are still held between Nova Scotia and Scotland.

Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village in Iona, NS, is a living history museum and cultural center that celebrates the Gaelic experience in Nova Scotia - absolutely worth a visit, and only about an hours drive from West Mabou Home!

Our modern, fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, complete with an induction hob, coffee maker, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle and of course, that all important dishwasher!
