We’ve Changed Our Name!
The Kamloops Performance Cycling Centre (KPCC) has officially evolved into the Kamloops Mountain Bike Trail Association (KMBTA)!
Our History:
When KPCC was established, our primary focus was managing the Bike Ranch, with an emphasis on competition-oriented experiences—hence the name Kamloops Performance Cycling Centre.
Why the Change?
Since then, the Kamloops Bike Ranch has grown into a trail network that riders of all levels can enjoy. As ridership expanded in Kamloops, so did the need for more sanctioned trails. With an experienced team of trail builders already involved in the Bike Ranch, KPCC took on the management of additional trail networks, including Harper Mountain, Pineview, and the winter riding trails at Isobel Lake. This growth has reshaped our organization and highlighted the need for a name that truly reflects what we do.
Who We Are?
The Kamloops Mountain Bike Trail Association (KMBTA) is managed by a dedicated volunteer board. The work we do on the trails is supported through contributions from the City of Kamloops, grants, fundraising efforts, and, most importantly, donations from the community. One hundred percent of the support we receive goes into the trail networks we all enjoy to ride.
Thank you for the support you’ve given us in the past to get us where we are today. We deeply appreciate your continued support as we enter this next chapter.

Everyone is really excited about the sneak peak of the new drop zone opening in 2025! However the stoke is overflowing too much and riders are tracking out the new landings setting the project back. Please don’t ride the incomplete drop zone area, and spread the word that rideing through this work zone is only wrecking the progress for all riders.

Thank you to the City of Kamloops Parks department for the installation of our new garbage can at the pump track. Hoping the community can all work together to make sure any litter is placed in the can so our trail crew can work on trails, not pick up garbage.

We need your support to stop the use of Surrons on the new pump track at the top of the Bike Ranch. This track was designed for small-wheeled scooters, skateboards, and bicycles—not motorized vehicles. The attached photos show the significant damage these Surrons have caused, which threatens the future use and enjoyment of this fantastic community asset.

We’ve seen incredible community support for the new pump track, and we want to keep it looking and functioning at its best for everyone.

To address this issue, we have requested bylaw officers to monitor the track. If the misuse continues, we will escalate the matter to the RCMP. It’s crucial to understand that the presence of motorized vehicles on the track poses a serious risk to all users, including those on scooters, bicycles, and skateboards. Mixing these vehicles can lead to severe injuries.

If you witness the misuse of the track, please report it to Kamloops Community Services at 250-828-3409. In cases where people are at risk, contact the RCMP non-emergency line at 250-828-3000.

Let’s work together to maintain the integrity and safety of our pump track. Please spread the word and help us keep this space safe and enjoyable for all!
