Thank you to the City of Kamloops Parks department for the installation of our new garbage can at the pump track. Hoping the community can all work together to make sure any litter is placed in the can so our trail crew can work on trails, not pick up garbage.

Motorized dirt bikes are not permitted at the Kamloops Bike Ranch. This includes electric dirt bikes such as “Surrons”

Despite riding through ample signage and being spoken to by several people Monday this moto rider continued to ride through crowds of kids, then exited into the Ranch and the Kamloops Nature Park.
The RCMP and Community Services were contacted and are looking for this individual, and will be pursuing other individuals to issue fines for bringing any motorized dirt bikes into the park.
Public please continue to report motorized dirt bike riders whenever seeing them at the Ranch.

We need your support to stop the use of Surrons on the new pump track at the top of the Bike Ranch. This track was designed for small-wheeled scooters, skateboards, and bicycles—not motorized vehicles. The attached photos show the significant damage these Surrons have caused, which threatens the future use and enjoyment of this fantastic community asset.

We’ve seen incredible community support for the new pump track, and we want to keep it looking and functioning at its best for everyone.

To address this issue, we have requested bylaw officers to monitor the track. If the misuse continues, we will escalate the matter to the RCMP. It’s crucial to understand that the presence of motorized vehicles on the track poses a serious risk to all users, including those on scooters, bicycles, and skateboards. Mixing these vehicles can lead to severe injuries.

If you witness the misuse of the track, please report it to Kamloops Community Services at 250-828-3409. In cases where people are at risk, contact the RCMP non-emergency line at 250-828-3000.

Let’s work together to maintain the integrity and safety of our pump track. Please spread the word and help us keep this space safe and enjoyable for all!

Garbage pick day at the KBR June 2, 10am to 12pm!
The Ranch is in need of a clean-up for many reasons, such as cleanliness, safety, and fire risk mitigation.
We will be hosting this pick-up day with support from the KPCC and the city.
Meet at the bottom parking lot at 10 a.m., and the shuttle will provide you with garbage bags and take you to the top. From there, we will assign trails for people to walk down and collect. Items too heavy to pack will be collected at a dump trailer halfway down. All regular bags will be dropped off near the dumpster by the arena.
Brian will lead a group to help remove some of the old structures and legacy wood items.
Gloves are recommended for this event and proper foot wear.
Participants will receive a few complimentary shuttles for their efforts, and shuttle service will start near noon.
Many hands will make quick work of this, and we ask for your support.
You will need to sign a waiver prior to start up.
Let's clean up our Ranch!

The Kamloops Performance Cycling Club (KPCC) is deeply concerned about recent incidents of vandalism and fires being started at the Kamloops Bike Ranch. This bike park is a treasured community resource, providing a safe and exciting space for cyclists of all ages and skill levels.

Recently, there have been traces of two fires where individuals were burning wood and attempting to burn wood structures within the Bike Ranch. These acts not only endanger the safety of our riders but also have a strong potential for causing significant damage or harm to the whole community.

In addition to these fires, tools have been stolen from the trail crew, signs have been ripped down, waterlines cut, and there has been vandalism to the timing trailer and timing equipment rendering it completely unusable which cancelled our spring race series, along with many other items.
These acts of vandalism threaten the integrity and future of the park.

We urge everyone in the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately.
Please report all incidents to the RCMP non emergency line
250-828-3000, or 911 for Police or Fire Emergency,
Kamloops Community Services 250-828-3409 and email [email protected].

Let’s work together to protect and preserve the Kamloops Bike Ranch. If you see something, say something. Together, we can ensure that our park remains a safe and enjoyable place for all.

Thank you for your support.
