Krystina - Chief Beach Bum here. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who’s come to the Okanagan this year and support tourism.

I know we’ve had a few blows with the loss of many of our short term rentals, crap weather and the oh-so looming fire threat.

But we are still here, ready to take you on an adventure! We have lots of contacts for places to stay (if your group is struggling to find one) we have lots of wine🍷 and amazing relationships with the most incredible wineries!

I know affordable housing is a major issue in BC but the answer was NOT to do a blanketed ban on all short term rentals. This new provincial law has negatively affected and devastated tourism in the Okanagan. Families who need homes are renting the large 8 bedroom homes on the lake, the 1 bedroom condos on Sunset Drive or downtown Kelowna.

But what it has done has driven away the families who used to come for a week or two to our beautiful Valley year after year, the groups of friends and families who would spend time here, celebrating weddings, birthdays and everything in between. Anyone in the tourism industry are feeling this.

Please sign this petition and maybe our government will realize that this is NOT the solution and maybe revisit how we can actually can solve this.

Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you may know, my son Palmer's Facebook account was hacked just has he launched his Kickstarter for a PC game he has been developing over the last few months. It's been devastating for him but he's determined to make this project work. What I didn't know is if he doesn't reach the financial goal that was set he doesn't receive any of the money that was raised.

So I am asking everyone I know that if you love to game or have kids/family that game, please take a look at his and help support! Even $10 or $20 would make a big difference! If it fails then you don't actually pay (that's the kicker for him).

Trust is fragile and betrayal is inevitable in this cooperative survival shooter.
