Thank you to all of our passengers and crew for a great season! It may have started slowly, with the ship being trapped behind the damaged causeway in Kingston -- but it ended with 4 months of fantastic cruising and so much beautiful scenery. It is a longstanding tradition to start our season with two local cruises to prepare our crew and kick off the new season in style. This year we were uncertain whether we would be able to free the ship for overnight cruising, so instead we planned two beautiful dinner cruises in Kingston Harbour to be available to anyone in our region. After two months of frustration and uncertainty, the federal government has given us a hard commitment to re-open the navigation channel by June 30. This means that we will be able to finally begin cruising on July 1st - Canada Day 🇨🇦

Due to ongoing construction delays with the LaSalle Causeway in our home port of Kingston, the Canadian Empress is currently unable to enter the St. Lawrence River. This delay has forced us to cancel our first two cruises of the season in May. We are hopeful that the issue will be solved in the coming weeks. Full statement at the link below.
