Courteney stayed with us this past week, to wrap up the summer before school. Her family was wonderful to host, and they enjoyed and cared for our vacation home as we would. They were so considerate and, as you can tell from her message, sweet and kind.

When we built our chalet in 2017/18 to share the magic of the Quebec Laurentian region with other families and couples, our intent was always to deliver experiences as Courteney described. We are grateful.

Spahaus 7 is our contemporary chalet cabin located just 75 minutes from Montréal and short car ride to the north side of Mont Tremblant. It’s one of our short-term vacation rentals in a quaint Quebec village called Lac-Supérieur.

At a total of 1,300 sq.ft., this metal-roofed home with cedar plank and cement slab walls has French-Scandinavian interiors that pair seamlessly with the Northern European development concept of Montréal’s YH2 Architecture.

The design uniquely balances luxury and comfort, and from every angle of the house, the area's natural setting is admired through large glass windows, framed in a matte black finish overlooking the forest.

The home sits on a mountain that was once the property of a former religious congregation. It tastefully integrates contemporary architecture in a natural environment that blends into the wild contours of the land.

Spahaus 7 was the first property development project we ever worked on together and we now share this home and experience with others as a 5-star short-term rental stay.

Cheri stayed with us this month, as a returning guest. We were thrilled to host her again, as she was the perfect guest for us the first time around. She left our chalet as it was presented to her and is simply a delightful woman. A 5-star guest!

Our guests have free use of the recreation facilities at Club de la Pointe, a 1-minute walk down the hill from our chalet. On the Pointe there is a pool, beach volleyball and tennis courts, water activites, a small indoor exercise room, a youth club and walking trails.

MARINA HOURS (BOATS & DOCKS)

To open when the temperature of the lake is a minimum of 15 degrees Celsius. To sunbathe, there are sun loungers and platforms onsite, on a fist-come, first-serve basis. The pool opens June 4 - September 4, 2023 from 10am - 7pm with a Lifeguard present.

INDOOR EXERCISE ROOM

This room has a variety of small weights, mats, and active equipment.

GAMES ROOM/KIDS CLUB

This space has a variety games.

"We had a wonderful stay at the Spahaus. The cottage is beautiful, perfectly landscaped, very comfortable, well equipped and the location is great. Access to the Club (lake, swimming pool, boats, petanque, table football and ping-pong) was appreciated by all.

Another plus was the L'Etalage Market (delicatessen) where you can find everything. As a result, we did not even [use] the car during our stay.

Finally, Shawn Hernden and Brad Hernden responded quickly to any requests, and the Guidebook and house information is very clear. In short, a refreshing and super pleasant stay. We adored!"

Since December, we’ve hosted a number of wonderful families (new and returning guests) at our chalet in Mont Tremblant. My brother Shawn and I truly love our work together to offer our Quebec home to others.

If you’re looking to escape for a few days this winter, message us. The Laurentians are not only great for downhill skiing Tremblant but so many other less expensive and/or free options to enjoy the outdoors; hiking in Tremblant National Park (Sépaq), snowshoeing, ice skating on the lake, cross-country skiing.

For those more indoor-oriented, you can just stay in and put your feet up next to the fire 😉

“A truly beautiful experience, highly recommend! Shawn and Brad were great hosts. Everything in the space was incredibly clean, organized and well thought out. We had everything we needed for a perfect and relaxing week vacation away from the city. The space was so nicely designed. « We had a great stay at this house. The combination of a beautiful place, pride of ownership, and attention to detail is rare even in many other five star rated homes (sorry we couldn't give 6 stars).

The house had everything we hope to see in a short-term home as well as rare perks including plenty of easy burning echo logs, [television] channels and an extremely well-equipped kitchen.

The location was just what we were looking for, very peaceful and only a short drive to the North side of Tremblant. »

“We had a wonderful family stay at this beautiful place! The chalet is very pleasant and well oriented so you feel as if you are in a quite private setting.

The pictures on the website are absolutely representative of the place and the views are very nice. We really enjoyed ourselves and the access to the Club de la Pointe is really a nice feature, especially with the kids. Close enough to Tremblant to be near the ski hills but far enough that you are able to enjoy a more quiet atmosphere, just what we were hoping for.

We highly recommend this airbnb.”
