Today we purchased a lovely little haul from . Some of these will be planted in our own gardens, but the rest went into flower pots and herb gardens for our cabin guests to enjoy during their stay.

The Starlight Cabin. Such a sweet getaway with a stunning view of Charleston Lake. This cozy, seasonal cabin is presently available for sale on leased land.

Our Lazy Maple cabin is also available for sale/weekend rentals.

Don’t worry. We aren’t going anywhere. We have chosen to pare down a touch to ease up on our workload. The rest of our cabins remain available for rent and business is operating as usual.

Today was a beautiful day for a skate!

The ice is presently 8” thick in our bay. We measured the ice and know this bay very well.

Do not take chances on the ice this year, people. If you’re heading out, know your ice. If you’re unsure - don’t risk it.

Sorry, folks. It looks like campfires are not permitted for a little while. Things are a little drier than usual and we all have to do our part to keep our beautiful area safe.

Hopefully we will get some rain soon to alleviate the dryness and help slow the Quebec and northern Ontario forest fires.

I may be showing my age here, but I’ve been making skincare and candles for over 20yrs. It began as a hobby and grew into a bustling business when we purchased our little boutique “resort” six years ago. The Charleston Botanicals workshop and boutique now operate out of our Charleston Lakeside Retreat located at 40 Greer Point Lane, Lansdowne, Ontario.

The boutique is open by appointment only, as I’m often juggling resort duties, elbow deep in skincare production or otherwise living life.
