Have you wondered what goes into preserving an artifact? Here is a fun fact you may not know ⬇️

Paper is highly susceptible to light, temperature, and humidity changes, so paper items will be stored flat in acid-free folders and in a controlled, dim environment to prevent fading, yellowing, chemical, and physical breakdown. Learn more about the preservation work: https://pulse.ly/kgpw83yc04

No one plans to be sleeping on a different couch every night or working multiple jobs to pay for basic needs. We all deserve a safe and permanent space to call home, but unfortunately not all Leduc residents have this. Learn more: https://pulse.ly/anuqtlcn7a

In Partnership with ARROW Utilities, we are reminding residents to help keep our pipes—and our community—clean by avoiding pouring grease, oils, and fats down the drain. Instead, let it cool, pour it into a container, and toss it in the trash. This small step prevents costly blockages and protects our environment. Thank you for keeping our water system flowing smoothly!

In the quiet of the Dr. Woods House Museum, Alfred Earl Rhome’s artifacts—a license, medals, gun box, and worn hat—tell the story of a life of courage and patriotism. As Remembrance Day nears, these pieces remind us of the sacrifices made by Alfred and so many others. Each object is a bridge to the past, preserving the legacies of those who served and inspiring future generations to remember their extraordinary courage.
