In Partnership with ARROW Utilities, we are reminding residents to be mindful of what gets flushed down the drain during Septic Awareness Week.
Items such as dental floss, cotton balls, band aids, hygiene products, contacts, and more are not to be flushed. Remember the three P's and help be a clogstopper.
Pesticide Use - City of Leduc
Pesticides can be hazardous, so take safety precautions before, during, and after use. Before using a product, always read the label to ensure it's authorized by Health Canada (look for a Pest Control Products number). Make sure it’s suitable for your needs, whether for indoor or outdoor use.
During use, wear protective clothing and keep children, pregnant women, seniors, and pets out of the area. Follow the label instructions carefully. If using pesticides outdoors, avoid spraying when the wind is over 8 kph, the temperature is above 30°C, or it’s raining. For indoor use, remove food and utensils, ensure good ventilation, and clean surfaces after application.
In case of accidental poisoning, seek help immediately. Call poison control and follow label instructions.
After use, store pesticides safely out of reach of children and pets, and dispose of them as per the label or take them to the Eco Station.

Roundabouts are coming to Leduc! 🚗🔄
The 65 Avenue Interchange is set to transform traffic flow and manage heavy vehicle traffic from the highway, business parks, and Edmonton International Airport. This project brings new additions Leduc’s infrastructure, like a teardrop roundabout and a two lane roundabout. Both feature truck aprons (extra turning space) to provide large vehicles the room they need to navigate turns safely. Check out this reel to learn how to navigate roundabouts.
