Public notices are published in accordance with the Municipal Government Act (MGA) to keep the community informed of opportunities for input on local government business. The City gives notice to the public on a variety of different matters ranging from bylaw changes to public hearings and public notices.

Starting Feb. 1, 2025, residents will find:

- Public notices posted on the City’s website 14 days in advance of the applicable date.
- The previous bylaw, which required advertising in a local newspaper, has been repealed.
- The City has the discretion to use other means of advertising public notices, including the newspaper; however, this will be supplemental in nature to the City’s minimum requirement to post on the City's website.
