Yesterday we did some work at the Mission House until mid afternoon before going to La Parguera. There we took a boat ride to Puerto Rico’s bioluminescent bay. What a fabulous experience. Under dark sky & all the lights off in the boat you swim in water that is illuminated by the plankton.

Here are some pictures from our Project Serve Level 1 trip to Toronto this past Friday & Saturday. Jeremy Liverance, Brianna Perrault, Brandon Lundy & I joined 15 other youth & leaders to serve the homeless in a number of different ways downtown. Some of us did yard work & made dinner at Matthew House, all of us made 100 bag lunches & gave them out. We accomplished a number of different chores at Mustard Seed too. This is a trip that the youth learn to serve but also experience homelessness in a safe way. We sleep on the church floor & have approximately $4.50 to buy food for a group of 6. Friday night I had 1/4 of a loaf of brisket & water for dinner. It imitates the amount they may get from a day of panhandling or busking. It’s an amazing trip. Something they’ll never forget 😁

This was a truly amazing day. The Project Serve youth worked really hard at Limberlost today & I’m so proud to be a part of this team. Check out the before & after picture of the wood pile. And this was only the 1 pile, we worked another one in a different location.

This weekend October 19-21 our Youth For Christ Project Serve Level 3 missions team will leave for Limberlost Forest & Wildlife Reserve in Huntsville. We'll be meeting up with youth and leaders from The Door Youth Centres in Alliston and Angus. Limberlost just had their winter firewood delivered and could really use our help getting it stacked. Saturday evening we'll receive information about our International trip to Puerto Rico in April 2019. Please pray for a safe trip to and from Huntsville and a united team as we learn to work along side our fellow team mates.
Blessings, Debbie Rogers

Brianna & Jeremy did an amazing job yesterday during Project Serve training. Jeremy's in Level 1 & Brianna's helping as a Youth Leader. Their task was to make cookies without a recipe. After cracking in the 4th egg, Jeremy's remarks were; "this is awful yellow!" Their cookies were a little spongy but actually eatable 😉 This team effort developed their leadership, problem solving and teamwork skills. Great job you two!

A huge great big thank you to the Mar Women's Institute for their donation of $5,000 to the Hub that we received today! We are in the process of finalizing our site control plan (it's taking a little longer than expected) with the county before obtaining our building permit for the new building. Should be starting soon! Thanks so much for your generosity, it is making our dream and vision possible. Yay God!

From Debbie Rogers: This past weekend our Level 2 team met with another team from The Door Alliston and we served at Mill Stream Bible Camp in Omemee,Ontario. We gathered brush & logs from some trees that fell during the ice storm. Along the walkways we shoveled and raked a couple of loads of washed stone. Late afternoon on Saturday we helped lay unilock stone at a new cabin. We stopped just before receiving a torrential downpour. It was an amazing trip as always. Brianna, Hank & I worked really hard as did the other team. Kudos to everyone!

Tomorrow for Kidzone the kids are being taken to Greg’s Caves for a hike! Leaving around 3:35, permission forms needed. For a form/info contact Blair at (519) 375-1812

Greetings friends! Our website is currently down. Evidently the building where the server was hosted in Tornoto has been lost due to fire!! I spoke with our IT guy, and he is frantically trying to get something else in place. Prayers are appreciated for him, he is a faithful brother in the Lord.

Pics from the latest project serve trip, thanks to Debbie and Jen for taking these awesome teens to Barrie to serve, and learn about, the homeless.

27/04/2018

Excited for Brianna P and Ryan N who will be heading to Barrie this weekend as part of their project serve training. They will be going with Debbie Rogers and Jen Lahey. They have been taught about homelessness issues, and this weekend they will have opportunity to see it first hand, to serve the homeless, and in a small way experience it. They have to sleep on the floor, they will only get a bag lunch for dinner and no lunch, oh, and no cell phones! Pics to follow next week. Have a great weekend guys!
