The Manitoulin Information Centre would like to clarify the operation of this center.
The Information Centre in Little Current is now operated by the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands who pay for and manage the operation of the building. All municipalities were approached and offered the opportunity to support the businesses in their community by sharing in the cost of the operation of this facility. In response the municipalities of Assiginack and Billings chose to support this initiative - the others did not.
While all Manitoulin businesses are welcome and encouraged to supply us with documentation from their businesses only those businesses whose municipality have invested in the operation of the Centre are offered this service free of charge, for those not participating the fee to place brochures on site is $300 for the season, May to September.
All Manitoulin businesses are promoted at the Manitoulin Information Centre as our goal is to ensure that every visitor has a great experience.
