Beach sand can grow grass but my yard doesn't. Hopefully the top soil added will green up.
Since there was extra soil we made a flower bed and added some hostas.
Now we wait.

I can't seem to grow grass on an area slightly bigger than my picnic table. The top soil washed away. I think this is enough soil now 😉

The Huron-Kinloss Yard Waste Depots are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mulch is not accepted at the Yard Waste Depots. Contactors loads and large loads of loose leaves, clippings and brush must be taken to the Huron Landfill on days that it is open FREE OF CHARGE.

Abuse of these facilities may result in the removal of the depots.
Yard Waste Depots are located:
🌱 Huron Yard Waste Depot:
2083 Concession 6 E, just east of the Landfill
🌱 Lucknow Yard Waste Depot:
907 Havelock St., just south of the soccer fields.

Grass clippings, leaves, and yard waste must be bagged in brown paper bags.
🚫🪵🚫 Absolutely NO logs or stumps. 🚫🪵🚫 No household garbage, or plastic bags.

I see folks suggesting Cottages in Canada for a booking platform. I know the fees are much lower, and am considering it. Is there much traffic on that site? To my friends who vacation, where do you go to find your vacation Rental?

for any guest of Blue Sky Cottage please be aware what is and is not recycled. If non recycled material is set out, it will not be picked up and that will be unpleasant for the next guest.

The Huron Landfill Styrofoam program accepts Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) packaging only. This is commonly referred to as "Styrofoam™".

Recyclable EPS is:
✅Often marked with a "6" recycling symbol
✅Packaging for computers, electronics, appliances, toys, etc.
✅Rigid in nature
✅White
✅Clean and dry

Please remove tape and stickers.

Please do not include non-acceptable items, as they may contaminate the entire load. These items are currently not recycled here and must be placed in the garbage:
