As luxurious as The Mallard is for adults, kids also have a great time here! The Loft is like a little hideaway, filled with games and books, and the s’mores bar has been VERY popular with kids and adults alike. There is so much magic at the cabin to discover!

The beebs are getting quite friendly! We have several stages of ducklings and several species as well. Early June is a fantastic time to visit as they’re used to all the people by then and will come up and say hello 😍

Today The Mallard family lost a member. Mera was a beautiful and gentle dog, and she loved to meet our guests. Anyone who knew her was immediately in love with her sweet face, and life here won’t be the same without her. Rest easy pretty girl, you are so loved❤️

Can’t wait for all the babies these guys are going to bring to visit us!

We strongly recommend you book in May or June in order to be able to spend time with them before they get too big (though of course we still love them even then). Did you know returning guests get discounts? Those discounts also extend to your friends that you refer if they also book a stay the same season you book! May also has reduced daily rates to get the season going, so it’s a win-win 😍

Throwback to the build! This was the first time we really got to see the shape of the frame and start to picture it being a real home one day.

The Christmas tree farm across the street from us 😍 We do not own this land, but we walk on the roadway as no one lives on the lot. Today was bright, sunny, and crisp! Looking forward to summer, but the snow sure is pretty.

Had a little incident this morning with the frosty deck boards 😅

Hello November! I know it’s early to be in the holiday spirit already, but how could we not be when IT’S SNOWING 😍

Nova Scotia got a little bit of rain 🥴 Our driveway river has gone back to normal, and everything here is ok! Lot of gravel in the lake, but otherwise no damage ❤️
