The Markham Village Music Festival is celebrating Indigenous culture with their Indigenous Public Art Legacy Project--with support from our government’s My Main Street program.

The project showcases an amazing series of banners created by Indigenous artist, Naomi Peters. The banners are installed along the streetlight poles of Main St. South in Markham Village.

Thank you to the Markham Village Music Festival and Naomi for all your hard work to make this wonderful initiative a reality!

🎦 If you were at Main and Robinson last week, you may have noticed some excitement. Our Guardian Pharmacy, along with a few other local businesses, was part of a docudrama series shoot set in the ‘70s. 🎞️📺

🎉✨ Main Street Markham's Festival of Lights is happening THIS FRIDAY, November 29th, 2024! ✨🎉

📍 Join us on Main Street Markham from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM for an evening of holiday magic and cheer!

🎁 Give Back to the Community:
All attractions at the Festival are FREE! If you’re able, we encourage you to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toy Mountain, helping less fortunate families through The Salvation Army. Drop-off locations are listed in the post!

🐾 While we absolutely love our 4-legged friends, please note that there will be a fireworks show during the event. For their safety and comfort, we kindly recommend leaving your pets at home. 🎆❤️

🌺 Remembrance Day Observance - Join Us in Honouring Our Veterans 🌺

Markham District Veterans Association invites you to a Service of Remembrance on Saturday, Nov. 9th.

📍 Where: Upper Hall, Markham District Veterans Association (7 Washington St.)
⏰ When: Please arrive by 9:15 a.m. The service will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Following the service, there will be a Remembrance Day Parade to the Markham Village Veterans Square and Cenotaph (6031 Hwy 7 E) for an 11 a.m. ceremony and wreath-laying.

🚧 Road Closures: Main St. Markham (from Hwy 7 to Centre St.), Washington St. (from Hwy 7 to Centre St.), and Centre St. (from Washington to Main St.) will be closed from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the parade.
