It will be the Family Free Fishing week *No fishing license needed, must adhere to all MNR Fishing Regulations. NO fish are wasted. Some of the fish harvested will be cooked to try.🎣”

The Marmora Pickleball Club was formed on January 9, 2024. Since then, they have grown to a total of 145 Facebook members and 30 regular players.

Their goal is to provide seniors and residents of all ages with a fun and social method of staying fit and healthy. As a not for profit group, they have limited resources. However, in the process of collecting a nightly membership fee of $5.00, they have saved enough to make a $500.00 donation to the Marmora Public School to thank them and the HPE Board of Education for approving and hosting their program.

Learning about Indigenous Peoples, places and experiences is a step forward each Canadian can take on the path to reconciliation.

The Heart of Hastings Christmas Tour and the Marmora Christmas Market 2023 events were amazing! Mayor Jan O’Neill toured many of the local businesses and the Christmas market in the Town Hall Council chambers to meet the owners, staff and observe the wonderful decorating, unique gifts and products being offered and displayed in our town. The overall experience was fantastic! “I am so proud to be the Mayor of this town and see the collaborative efforts of the local businesses to promote this event and create the Christmas spirit in our business community”. The beautiful stores with the unique gifts and products, the street decorations and shopping opportunities available certainly attracted visitors and promoted shopping local.
