"The Catch" I have been so busy during the past couple of months that I haven't been keeping up with my photo posts. But it is bear time again so I'll be out frequently. I watched this fellow fishing over a span of a couple of hours. He would catch a fish, go back in the bush to eat and return to fish again. This is one of my favourite captures over that time. I am really pleased with the action and water spray. Please try to view in as much detail as possible. Photographed on Haida Gwaii, BC, Canada. As usual, feel free to share.

Great news!

BC Ferries is providing 6 additional round trip sailings between August 24th and September 24th on the Haida Gwaii - Prince Rupert route.

With people itching to get back to travelling this year, BC Ferries has been slammed with bookings often filled up months in advance on the northern routes - much to the frustration of coastal communities who rely on these ferry services.

Along with local leaders, I’ve been requesting extra ferry sailings and I really appreciate BC Ferries responding to and hearing the needs of coastal communities.
