🎶Chestnuts roasting on an open fire 🎶

Just kidding! It’s not Christmas... yet.

Jokes aside, there are many things you can make over your campfire this weekend! We’ve picked out 3 of our favourite recipes and linked them below. If you decide to try them out, tag us in your photo! We would love to see your campfire creations 🔥

#1 - Campfire Quesadillas!

These prep-ahead quesadillas are a great campfire dinner solution. Simply assemble and wrap them in foil at home, then when you arrive at the campsite, toss them over hot coals for a quick and easy meal.

#2 - S’more Dip

This dish, made in a skillet or cast iron pan, offers all the taste of s'mores with little mess! It is perfect for kids who get sticky fingers (then sticky everything else) when eating traditional s’mores.

Have you heard of the ‘buddy lots’ at the McAdam Campground? 🤔

Lots 10 and 11 are perfect for groups of friends or families that camp together! Side by side and serviced with power, water and Wifi, these lots let you make the most of good company. There's even a trail from the lots leading to the lake and a large rock suitable for pitching a tent—though driving in the stakes might be a challenge!

Don’t let rain ruin your parade! You can still enjoy your stay at the McAdam Campground, even if the weather isn’t cooperating.

Some may not know, but our guests have access to the Red Activities Lodge at the front of the campground. Here, you can enjoy a warm cup of coffee, play games, darts or read while watching the rain fall on the lake.

Watch highlights from the Hook & Paddle 2024 Series at Wauklehegan Lake in McAdam! 📹

A huge thank you to Hook and Paddle for a spectacular tournament! For the first time in McAdam, it was thrilling to see 42 anglers, many new to our waters, tackle the fishing challenge with such enthusiasm.

The overcast weather and windy conditions didn't stop our competitors from showcasing their skills with catches like largemouth bass, smallmouth, pickerel, and sunfish. 🎣

Congratulations to all those who won the fantastic prizes at the end of the day. One highlight catch was a massive 16-inch chub...You don’t see that every day!

Pick McAdam Campground for your summer tenting trip! ⛺

We offer 9 tenting lots available for daily or weekly booking. These lots are nestled among the largest pine trees in the area and are just a short walk through the campground to the private beach on Wauklehegan Lake. For your convenience, serviced shower rooms are located right next to the tenting lots, so there's no need to walk all the way to the front building!

Each tenting lot has a picnic table and a fire pit, with wood available for purchase 🔥
